The WFSA anesthesia tutorial of the week provides a large database of free, peer-reviewed educational tutorials covering a wide range of topics related to anesthesia and perioperative care. Tutorials are published on a bi-weekly basis and translated into five languages, including English, Spanish, French, Portuguese, and Chinese.

The electronic safer anesthesia from education (e-SAFE) course was developed as an educational tool to support the education, training, and continuing professional development of those who are responsible for delivering safe anaesthesia, critical care, and pain medicine in resource variable environments around the world. e-SAFE was developed and funded by the Royal College of Anaesthetists (RCoA) and the Association of Anaesthetists of Great Britain and Ireland (AAGBI).

Essential Pain Management Online Course

EPM Online is a free online course that provides a primer in the essentials of pain management. It covers the tools that can be used to recognize, assess, and treat pain. There is also a section on barriers to pain management, the importance of continuing to reassess pain, and a series of cases using videos to demonstrate the use of EPM in patients with acute trauma and postoperative pain, cancer pain, and chronic non-cancer pain. The course was developed by the Australia and New Zealand College of Anesthetists, Interplast Australia & New Zealand, and Praxhub.

Stanford Anesthesia Global Learning Resource Center

The Stanford Anesthesia Global Learning Resource Center was born out of necessity to support ongoing academic partnerships focused on medical education and training for Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine, Global Anesthesia and Critical Care Learning Resource Center (“the LRC”) began in May of 2020 in response to travel restrictions limiting in-person exchange programs. The LRC has contributors from across the globe.

UCSF CHESA Health Equity Curriculum

The Health Equity Curriculum (HEC) was created by the Center for Health Equity in Surgery and Anesthesia (CHESA) at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), with contributions from multidisciplinary collaborators. The HEC was designed to fill a gap in health equity education for surgery and anesthesia residents to better serve patients. The curriculum is intended to be integrated into the core training for all residents, provide exposure that generates career interest, and be complimented by more robust training opportunities and pathways in global health.

The Consortium of Universities for Global Health (CUGH) is a rapidly growing Washington, DC-based organization of over 170 academic institutions and other organizations from around the world engaged in addressing global health challenges. CUGH was established in 2008 with generous funding from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and The Rockefeller Foundation. The CUGH website contains a plethora of resources related to general topics in global health.
