Vascular Resistance
- PVR = 80*(PAP – PCWP)/CO, normal 100-200 dyn-s/cm5
- SVR = 80*(MAP – CVP)/CO, normal 900-1200 dyn-s/cm5
Note that normal PA_systolic is 1/8th systemic SBP, and that pulmonary hypertension is defined as PA_systolic is > 1/4 systemic.
