1. Create an account on our site

This is ESSENTIAL. All you need is an email address. We will NEVER email or release your address to ANYONE. You do not need to provide your name. You do need an account, however, in order for us to maintain the fidelity of the site - if a particular user engages in destructive practices, for instance, he/she can be contacted and if a resolution is not reached, his/her editing rights can be revoked

2.Edit an existing page

In order to edit a page that already exists, you have to be registered (see above). Once registered, click on "log in" at the top right of the page. Then find the page you want to edit, and click the "edit" tab on the top. You will see the MediaWiki version of the page (basically just all of the words with a couple of formatting tricks, ex. quotes and brackets)

3. Create a new page

BEFORE YOU CREATE A NEW PAGE, see if one already exists - type the words you're interested in into the "search" bar on the left of your screen. If you can't find a page similar to the one you want to create, you are welcome to create one. In order to do this, simply type the name of your page after the ?title= in your browser. For instance, if you wanted to create a page called "PEEP," you would simply go to the URL http://www.openanesthesia.org/index.php?title=PEEP and the MediaWiki software will create the page for you - click edit at the top of the page, and type away!
